Find me on:

As BlackCurve continues to progress, it has looked to expand its team in order to contribute towards its mission of helping companies optimise their prices and grow profits. And so, Blackcurve has opened its office doors to its very first intern.

Blackcurve's Marketing Intern, Chandan Dhiman will be uploading a weekly log detailing the projects she completes over the course of two months.

Week Four:

"This week has been successful as I was able to see positive results from some of my marketing efforts – through implementing new processes, I have been able to increase the rate at which our contacts are interacting and engaging with our content. It has been rewarding to see tangible results and hope that through monitoring this weekly, we will further increase our rate of interaction.

A challenge I had within this mini project was handling such large amounts of data, and using online tools to help me manage all the information. It was initially quite overwhelming since it was requiring me to carry out time-consuming processes.

Since I had a deadline to work by, I needed to think of ways in which to speed up the process, and so I was able to improve my Excel skills and use them to make the process quicker and easier for myself – I was able to complete the task within my deadline and have now implemented a quick method for future use.

Part of this initiative has also been thinking of ways to provide even more value for our contacts. I was able to experiment with creating landing pages for our website where contacts are able to access exclusive content. Working on the landing page encouraged me to learn some basic CSS and HTML coding and though it can be quite difficult, I successfully rose to the challenge.

Being surrounded in the office by individuals passionate about the tech industry, I have learned so much about current trends and technological innovations – some of which have taken my interest. In particular, the rise of chatbots has been a point of interest for myself. It is fascinating seeing the ways in which different industries have incorporated chatbots within their business models, and I have begun to think of ways in which chatbots could make an entrance into the pricing industry.

Alongside this, I am always encouraged to provide criticism and suggest improvements for aspects of Blackcurve’s sign-up process. Right now, I am thinking of ways in which to improve our ‘Blackcurve Academy,’ where new users are provided introductory support on how to use our software. Blackcurve hopes to turn this into an easier user experience, and so hopefully we will be able to work on improving this."
