As BlackCurve continues to progress, it has looked to expand its team in order to contribute towards its mission of helping companies optimise their prices and grow profits. And so, Blackcurve has opened its office doors to its very first intern.

Blackcurve's Marketing Intern, Chandan Dhiman will be uploading a weekly log detailing the projects she completes over the course of two months.

Week Five:

"During this week, I have continued to work on ways in which to optimise BlackCurve’s website. This includes giving our online resources and webinars page somewhat of a makeover by including more visuals across the site.

As usual, this tested my ability to manage infographics and basic HTML for the pages, but I am pleased with the end results, and received an encouraging thumbs up from BlackCurve’s Marketing Executive.

Following my interest in chatbots, I have ventured further into the tech industry, and have discovered more about the ‘race towards voice automation’ and natural language processing programmes.

Whilst this has been incredibly interesting I must admit, it has sparked an existential crisis. I’m slowly discovering more ways in which society is moving towards automation, and cannot help but feel alarmed when reading articles on how artificial intelligence may destroy human kind! Right now however, I remain optimistic!

A highlight of the week was being asked to record the voiceover for BlackCurve content – it is definitely a lot more difficult than it looks! A couple takes managed to do the trick, and hopefully you’ll be able to catch me debut in the near future.

Finally, alongside BlackCurve’s Marketing Executive, I have learned how to use Facebook Ad services to maximise exposure on our Facebook platform. We have launched two separate campaigns and will be following the results closely to see how they perform. Though August is a quiet period, we will be able to use the results to inform us on ideas for future campaign launches.

Luckily, I have been able to escape the dreary London weather to catch some sun in Spain on a family holiday over the weekend. I'll be ready to tackle some more work next week sporting a nice tan!
